The client was a male in his 50s. As the youngest of four children, he inherited some of the family carousel trays. The slides included family vacations, camping trips, holidays and other childhood memories. He had 14 carousels (80-140 slides each), and his sister had about the same number. They were not sure if they wanted to digitize all of them or not.
The mother of the groom desired a surprise slide show for the wedding rehearsal dinner. She wanted to include photos of the bride and the groom as they were growing up, plus photos of them as a couple. She gathered photos of her son, and she solicited help from the bride for photos of her own childhood as well as couple photos.
Most scanners have multiple settings available for scanning slides, negatives, and photographs. When selected, adjustments are performed as part of the scan itself. Some settings should be used for almost every scan, while others should be utilized selectively.
